We'd like to start off with a quick introduction to those of you interested in an internship opportunity at Capable Media. Our company specializes in Internet Marketing and SEO Solutions for small and medium-sized businesses throughout the Chippewa Valley Area.
An internship at Capable Media involves working with many Web 2.0 technologies including mashups and API's from many of the top social networking platforms in use today. Many of our projects also require graphic design using advanced Flash techniques. Interns can expect to be involved with many new innovative web programming techniques while learning more about the information technology work environment.
Development & Training
All interns will work directly with the designers and programmers at Capable Media. In addition to providing a supervisory role in your professional development, we will also seek to inspire you to improve on your talents and allow you an opportunity to push yourself in new technology-driven directions.
Most of our projects are completed in PHP using XHTML, AJAX, and JavaScript. However, opportunities are there to learn about and work with other programming languages such as VB.NET, ASP.NET, Java, and Ruby on Rails. Projects also involve extensive work with CSS Stylesheets, Graphic Design (Adobe Photoshop/After Effects), and Flash. Experience with these technologies is very helpful.
Internet marketing and search engine optimization are the primary focus for our business. Many of our projects require that we work very closely with local businesses to develop Internet marketing strategies that work within their budgets while maximizing market exposure. Marketing interns at Capable Media are available to work directly with local business owners to develop and communicate our marketing strategies with them. Marketing intern responsibilities include contacting and meeting with local businesses to market our services to them. Additionally, marketing interns are able to work with many local businesses as we develop their online marketing strategies.
Our company is growing and so are our Accounting needs. A Business Management or Accounting program intern position is now available. Intern responsibilities include ensuring the accurate processing and balancing of financial transactions and the creation, management, and organization of client invoices and other financial documents. Interns use Quickbooks Pro to manage and organize the majority of our financial information and processes. Initial software and process training is available. Strong computer skills are required.
